Are you modeling the latest RL flannel? :) What gorgeous pictures! This looks like the ultimate peaceful autumn day. The colors are amazing, especially those yellow trees. I have never seen trees that bright yellow before. Maybe because we don't have wilderness around here... Really, these pictures are beautiful ~ that's it darnit, I'm going on a picnic!
We had a sunny day here and it was warm too...I went for a walk without a coat, such a gift. Your picnic among the aspens looks like a relaxing way to spend a day, dining al fresco and birdwatching in the great outdoors. Sublime.
GORGEOUS! Tres L.L. Bean :) It was a stunningly beautiful weekend here too, at last. Too bad I had vile sore throat- Just vitamin D deprived. Hope the sun lasts for awhile.
PS. Can you really pick out birds from that book? I never can- I just pretend.
Oh the beautiful colours of the trees, lovely photos. We had glorious weather here yesterday and did family bike ride which was lovely but probably not as romantic as your picnic ("Muuuuum, the chain's come off my bike again.....Mummmmm, can I have a snack....Muuuuum, my legs are tired etc etc etc you know the drill!!)xx
Janet!!!!!!!!!!! You and L look like teenagers!!! Love these snaps. It's so pretty where you live- don't visit my blog- I've cooked pork chops. You've been warned.
That looks like such a nice day! We spent the weekend with wedding party stuff, then cleaning out the flooded basement, but now life is back to normal, so I'm looking forward to NEXT weekend! And after looking at these photos, I'm thinking a picnic at the lake...karin p.s You (and he) are SO CUTE!
Yes, a picnic! Must do that tomorrow, I think, surprise hubbins and pack my grandmother's classic picnic basket with some tantalizing treats and grab a blanket and just go! We don't have much in the way of aspens (which I adore)but there is some color and the ground is dry enough to sit on :)Great photos--magazine worthy!
Dear Janet, I do love picnics and what an absolutely wonderful setting you had for yours. Al fresco eating is so special when you have good company, a beautiful view and delicious food. It seems to me that you had everything you needed for the perfect picnic.
What a gorgeously romantic picnic Janet - and how lovely you both are - a cute couple indeed! Fabulous photographs of a great looking place too. x p.s. Mr SE sends you special thanks for his comment and for your wishes to him - it has brought quite a spring to his step this week ;-)
jennifer - it better be me or else my husband has some explaining to do.
melissa - hi love, glad you are back from your most excellent wedding/honeymoon. glad i transported you and that pendleton is soooo old but i love it terribly.
Dear Ms Janet, I am very impressed with your glamourous look on your picnic and the beauty of the Autumnal setting. It is fun looking for birds and zipping through a field guide. I rarely sight the bird whose song I hear but whenever I have, I have been very pleased with myself. Is that cake with your apple and bread? Even on the 10th floor of an apartment building, the outdoors comes to us. My girls called me to come quietly to the windowbox last week and in a little nest were two perfect white pigeon eggs. The pigeon mum came back and gave us a 'what do you think you're looking at' look so we withdrew but hopefully there will be two hungry squabs to peer at through the curtains. The first miner has just come to the surface. I am crying buckets.
I am absolutely LOVING your new layout. How pretty and clean it looks! It will be so nice seeing your pretty photos jumbo-sized:) The trip looks fabulous. Wish I was there!
'twas the next best thing to being there! Everything was "right"--the bird guide, binoculars, plaid, food, back packs, faces toward the sun...and God's awesome creation.
We would have come but it looks like a picnic for two.
ReplyDeletebeautiful day.
xo Jane
