that's a wrap

Okay so I'm done wearing these pants.  I really love them but five days straight, I want my jeans!  I do like these photos bc in this light you can really see how wide the waistband is and how deep the pockets are on these Everlane chinos.  I think both are key to their comfort and wearability.

And while I'm at it, I love the Everlane Re-cashmere sweater (made from 60% recycled cashmere and 40% wool).  I love the vintage cut on the sweater.  Compared to their original cashmere, it's not quite as thick or soft, it's more lightweight and perfect for Fall, or layered will be great in the winter.  And dem boots!

Thank you all for your lovely and so touching comments...x

    1. I had to smile at your term "look fetching " that was a saying of my late father to my mother. We are English.

  4. Love the outfits you have shown over the last week! I am a bit of a minimalist, so these work for me. Just weighing in on the vegan issue like everyone else... I have been vegetarian for 40 years and entirely plant based for more than 2. I don't call myself vegan because of the political baggage. I don't eat eggs or dairy, but I don't freak out about every bite. Sugar being produced using bone char, and even most wines, are not vegan. Who knew? Choose your battles ~ is my motto. Also, I have leather in my wardrobe and while it troubles me, at least I am not unconscious. Other readers have commented on the alternatives to leather being toxic to our environment and being less than satisfactory. Used clothing and cheap shoes (all fast fashion) have flooded our thrift stores and landfills, and are being shipped to 3rd world countries who also don't know what to do with it. This is a big issue, and until all of society changes, it is difficult to swim against the tide. We do the best we can with what is out there. Let's keep encouraging those in our circles to awaken. Janet, you have been an inspiration to me for nearly a decade. You live with grace and elegance. Violet.

  5. I love seeing your posts Janet.
You could be an ambassador for Everlane and model for them...they were very wise to send you those chinos, boots and The recycled cashmere sweater.
While you’ve been wearing chinos I have been wearing jeans all week!!! Time to change it up.
    Have a lovely weekend
    XO

  7. You brilliantly met your challenge goal, Janet, and in doing so reminded that it's the basic wardrobe essentials which trump trendy styles any old day.
And, boy, you sure do look great always. Even on the "bad" day. May there be fewer of these as time goes by.
