I need a bookcase. I've heard that stacking heavy books is bad for the binding. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I like the way books look all stacked up but not if it is destroying them.

Love those stacks! But sorry, I have no idea whether it's good or bad for them. Don't most books hang around longer than you'd ever need them to? So how could stacking hurt? I'm interested to know what you find out.

ReplyDeleteConnie and Maria Cecilia, I wish this was my staircase and all my books, but sadly it is not. My books are stacked everywhere but not artistcally like the picture!

ReplyDeleteI need a bookcase too! Our books are stacked as well and it's probably not great for them. On my wish list, I'd like to buy a wood bookcase (from an unfinished wood furniture store) and then create a built-in look on one wall of our living room. I love the look of those built-in bookcases! They're also tall so they'll hold a lot of books! ; ) Trina
