Silk Everlane Pajamas as Daywear

Gifted from Everlane

I told you I was going to style these Everlane silk pj's for daywear!  Although to be honest I plan to wear this whole outfit in the evening to the Redlands Symphony this season so not exactly daywear in this instance.

I apologize if the photo is washed out and you can't see the true pink color but the sun popped out just as I began shooting.  The silk is so luxuriously thick and sturdy I def do not feel as if I'm in pj's.  I also plan to break the set up with levi's and cashmere sweaters to wear in a less fancy way.  How versatile can one set of pajamas get?!  Any comments?  x

  5. Oh I love it! Okay I also trotted right over and bought these pyjamas in the pewter colour. Love this look Janet and these pyjamas look so comfy but of a thicker texture than most silk which is key. Great price for silk of that quality. Thanks for this made my day! Love the coat and shoes with this so much, gorgeous. xx

  6. I love the color of the pyjamas. One of my favorite. On you the look is fabulous, I might wear each piece separately, especially the top as a blouse. not as brave as you.

  7. I think I would wear a thick belt. The top looks a little short. Wearing as separates would be good too.

  9. I could never do this, nor would I have the occasion, but it is fabulous on you. It's something my dil would do. She loves to style things differently & always looks fantastic....as do you! I especially love this shade of pink with your black accessories. It all has a glamorous look!

I do have a question about silk pj's...never having had a pair. I'm a tee shirt & flannel bottoms in the winter, or lightweight knit crops for summer. What are silk pj's like on a cold PA winter night? I keep my cabin fairly cool, but have a heated mattress pad. I would love to treat myself to something like this, but is it practical for my situation. Just wondering.

    2. hi anita. well i live in southern california so def not as cold as your winters. these are made with quite thick silk so they are warmer than my normal pjs but they are cropped legs so that may be an issue. if i were only using these as pjs i would have ordered the next larger size so they'd be longer but i knew i was going to style these for daywear. i don't know if this helps you or not? x

  11. I think it looks elegant!

It made me wonder what the comments would have been had you posted that same picture stating that's what you wore to the symphony (giving no hint to the name for the "silk top and pants" ) and then said you were so comfortable that you came home and slept in it :)

I can't wait to see the many combinations ...

  14. I wear pajama bottoms with cashmere sweaters a good bit in the winter - it is the best combination. I order mine in Tall so they look a bit more like wide leg pants - the comfort level is amazing :-).....You look fantastic!!!

  15. Janet, The PJ's look really good on you. If I were slimmer, I would def. wear them in public and they are not shear.

It reminds me of a purchase I made in the mid-1980's. I bought a beautiful to me lightweight pantsuit that was kind of shear to wear to work. I wore it to the office the next day with a wide belt, matching jewelry and shoes. Everyone asked me why I was wearing my pajamas to work! Needless to say, I never wore that pantsuit to the office again.

    Sincerely,
    Debra of SENC
