I've always been attracted to the easy way. I don't know if this is bc I'm lazy or don't like fussy. I guess it doesn't matter. Whatever you are drawn to, stay true to.
Simple elegance is always a classic! And I agree, the light in your living room is just lovely, so peaceful & calming. Dearest Janet, please know I will keep you in my thoughts & heart through yet another holiday first for you. Sending you love and peace, dear lady! Katie from Huntington Beach
Janet, I never comment on anyone's blog-----except yours. Once again, I just have to say: So calming, so beautiful, so you! Thank you for continuing to share. May you have a blessed and meaningful Christmas as you continue on this new path. Blessings, Judy
Your home looks perfect Janet. In other news I just ordered the Everlane snake boots. Not waiting for Santa and I figure I have been good enough. Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Christmas. Darby
Just love your house. Neutrals for the living areas, and blue for the bedroom is what I am aiming for too. I have de-cluttered massively over the past few years, and I am now living on my own too. So I am rebuilding for a lifestyle that fits around me.
It’s beautiful Janet. I always admire your lovely cottage...natural foraged accents suit the space. It looks So serene and cozy. May Peace grace your home. Hoping that you can lean on those that love you and find strength in your many happy memories of past Christmases. XO
Your style is very elegant, cohesive, and consistent. You are in my prayers and thoughts as you face this first Christmas without Larry. My heart goes out to you.
Your tree reminds me of what we now have. Ours is about that size only it's in an urn - the only thing I have on it are white lights. This is what we've had for a Christmas tree since losing our oldest son. Hard to believe this is the fourth Christmas without him with us. This tree is all I can do - and that's okay. We do what we can, when we can. I keep the tree up long past Christmas. I love the glow of the lights in the depth of winter.
jeannine so sorry to hear about your son although i think you've mentioned him before. it still hurts and always will. i get that. i too enjoy the glow at night, it's warming. x
You called this the simple touch..You left out one BIG word..BEAUTIFUL and simple too. Love the photos of your lovely home. My thoughts and prayers are with you this "first' Christmas, alone. You are my HERO...and will march on, through the storm. Love and Hugs from WI
Your home is beautiful! Simple and perfect. I hope you will be surrounded with love from your family for Christmas. Peace and love to you and yours. Merry Christmas!🎄
Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell. Edna St Vincent Millay
