  4. This one is definately my favorite! I absolutely love the fact that you just cut the sleeves off...I think only you could pull that off. :)

I thought about you yesterday...I found a vintage wool blazer at the thrift store. I actually bought it too.
Talk to you later - have a great day.

  8. WOW! It's so beautiful!
I love this outfit. I had a very similar skirt from Ralph about 20 years ago. Mine was black and I wore it throughout my 20's, finally it faded and I pitched it. The houndstooth is so much better, it won't fade and it will always be in style.

  9. Oh what a find and I know how you love RL...I remember that shoe story too!

I am wondering if there is any possible way that I could find an outfit for under $10 and I have been looking and so far it's a no go.

  10. I used to have a pair of RL pants in that same exact material, ca. 1992. I think they had that same little pocket flap.

  11. steve - really 1992? that's good to know. i knew this skirt was pretty old b/c of the usa tag.

  29. Smashing indeed!

I am still on "the quest" for a brown herringbone jacket/coat. I found a new one, full price, (very nice) but I am trying to stay true to my "no buy new" rule.

    You inspire me . . .

  35. This picture is my inspiration picture. A couple of years ago, I looked like that and was dressing like than. Then came "the pounds".

I found thrift store shopping so much easier when I could wear size 8 or so. I have a closet full of great clothes waiting for me to get serious about weight loss.

This outfit is amazing. I could live all year in it. I think the belt is perfect for the classy country look.
