I can't say enough good things about Ms. Julie Lorusso. She has become a dear friend of mine through blogging. Blog or no blog she will always be my friend and whenever I need a special piece of jewelry she will be the first place i visit. While i'm on the subject of blog friends, i'm actually tired of that phrase. After all if i've known you since kindergarten do i refer to you as my kindergarten friend. Or say we met at Target one day, are we forever Target friends? So from now on if i met you through blogging you are officially one of my regular friends. Ok, now back to Julie. She is having her one year anniversary giveaway extravaganza over at her blog Monkey Grass Hill. Please go visit her and say hi and enter her giveaway. Julie created the two bracelets above for me based on just a few facts she knew about me. They are so me it isn't even funny. They are both freshwater pearls each with a unique clasp. One has a vintage earring that she converted to a clasp and the other has a beautiful sterling clasp and turquoise stone. I wear them both endlessly. They go well with herringbone, denim and look beautiful with a little black dress. Talk about versatile. So please do yourself and go check out her giveaway and take a look at her gorgeous laundry room/pantry makeover.
And tell her i said hi.

Hi Janet,
ReplyDeleteLove the bracelets, I'm off for a quick look at MGH now.
Blighty and I had a hoot yesterday, and ended up at the Vic and Albert in Kensington playing dress ups. That could be a way to get thrill of new clothes without actually purchasing.
We've decided we are going to catch up for coffee and lunch again soon, but next time at The Gardener's Cottage.
Cheers,
Louise
Beautiful photo, Janet. Off to take a look.

ReplyDeleteYour friend,

Both are gorgeous...Love the little bit of turquoise on one and the vintage earring as clasp on the other...perfect. I'm going to check out your friends blog now.
ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bracelet. I remember when you got it several months back. I will click over and check out Julie's blog straight away.
I enjoyed your take on blog friends vs. regular friends - it's so true. I wonder why we (I) insist on making that distinction? No more. A friend is a friend is a friend.
Your friend,
Adrienne
So true, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love her jewelry...her pearl bracelets are gorgeous. Thanks for introducing her to us all!
Both of these bracelets are simply beautiful, and I think it's so clever how one of the clasps is a repurposed earring.
ReplyDeletePretty things, pretty photos, pretty words. i love you.

Yes, thank you friend for sharing Julie. Her creations are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love imagining myself just hopping over to monkey grass hill and poking around in her pantry or jewelry box. I know she would be just the kind of gal to lend me something special for that date nite.
