j.crew workshirt, old navy pants, gucci bag, sperry topsiders, ralph lauren sunglasses |
nothing special here.
just an average outfit for an average day.
i like simple outfits like this.
and lately i'm not even wearing jewelry.
everything can be tossed in the laundry and nothing needs ironed.
that's good b/c i don't iron. well hardly ever.
still working hard on my closet post.
well, not hard but kinda hard.
i hope you are having an absolutely wonderful week.
see you in a day or so with my finished closet.

you look fab Mrs G, lovely chic outfit and wait, are those shoes leopard print??
ReplyDeletesuper-!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I've been jewelry-less myself, lately. Liberating in a way.
ReplyDeleteLooks like summer there.
ReplyDeleteblights, yes they're leopard.
ReplyDeletesteve, feels like it too.
casual, classic and comfortable. that's way to do it!

Gorgeous Janet as ever... love everything about this outfit especially the 'sunnies'. But then again, you already know that! (serious sunglass jealousy over here in Oz). Have a happy day! Sarah x
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, your shirt, your capris, your bag and your sunglasses, perfect! I cannot believe how great this workshirt looks on you, any chambray/denim shirt never seem to look half as nice on me, I love them but they don't love me back, oh well. We have been having a very mild winter here in North East but nothing like your weather of course. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteJanet, I have missed your fashion posts. You are just the cutest. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing the exact same thing...well except for the Gucci bag, which is fabulous!

Could you be any more gorgeous????
ReplyDeleteI love the ease of outfits like this, and I can tell by your smile that you are loving it too!
You look like you feel good! Love this look...when I visit, I'll try to look half as good as you! :)
ReplyDeleteps email is down.

Those are some hot Sperry shoes and look at your sunny garden...send some rays up our way Janet we are so tired of rain....my Sperry boots have been getting quite the workout lately.
ReplyDeleteI see that Jack White is guesting March 3rd (my DOB) on SNL...I am going to be watching will you?
It looks so nice there. Of course you always look great.

Your hair is the greatest accessory. Such a good cut.
ReplyDeleteGawd you look good!Very inspiring on so many levels....being casual, being elegant, wearing no jewelry, and look so effortlessly great! And I agree with the comment on your hair always looking so good, so you.Does your hubby take the pictures of you or do you have a timer, just curious.
ReplyDeleteleslie, oh you know it.
ReplyDeletelanguage of design, larry takes the pictures. thanks for asking.
I can't stand wearing jewellery, I only put it on for posh nights out then whip if off the minute I come home.
ReplyDeleteI tried on a denim shirt dress today, I looked awful in it, I'm no good at casual dressing. I find simple but chic everyday looks that hardest to pull together. It's tramp or vamp for me.
You look like Diane Keaton x
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog post as always! I am very glad to see your post, I located what I was in search of here
Thank you!
Leopard and denim, how chic! You look so effortlessly stylish, not average in the slightest. I hate ironing, too! x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you look thin. Very lovely!

Looking great as usual! I can't remember the last time I wore a shirt tucked into my jeans. :/ Where did you find those topsiders??? Mine are boring old brown leather.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your closet post!

linda i got them at the cancer research thriftshop. they were brand new but $18 which makes them ineligible for a $10 outfit challenge. which totally bums me out.
ReplyDeletePerfection!
ReplyDeleteAre the Old Navy pants made of denim?
-Suzanne in Illinois
your fashion ideas are great!
ReplyDeletehttp://paquetevistasbien.blogspot.com
suzanne, yes they are. they are the rockstar denim jeans that are high waisted but they don't seem to make them any longer. too bad b/c they fit well.
ReplyDeleteThose leopard print shoes really complete that outfit! I tried a similar arrangement (with black flats) last week and felt a bit 'police officer uniform'. I was clueless how to rectify it but your shoes are the answer - thank you so much for sharing your ideas with us!
ReplyDeleteThose cool shoes were new at the thrift shop? The charity shop gods smile on you all the time. There's only poorly made, cheap-in-the-first-place stuff in the charity shops here.
ReplyDeleteI'm bummed to learn that you thrifted them because I was going to beg you to tell me which style they are. I've been searching high and low for a nice pair of leopard print flats for months.
oh jo i feel your pain. i wade through tons of crap to find the occasional gem. i know sperry has a leopard loafer out now but it is more like a sturdier penny loafer. not as sleek as these. i got lucky that day.
