breakfast

Hi lovelies.  I've decided the best way to show you how/what I'm eating is to just snap photos of each meal I'm about to eat.  No real styling involved.  This way you'll see I'm not doing anything fancy with this food.  It's all unprocessed and EASY!  I'm eating this bowl of oatmeal in bed this morning!

Overnight Oats - My FAVORITE Breakfast

1/2 cup Oats
1/2 cup Almond Milk (your choice - mine is homemade)
1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries
1  teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Flaxseed Meal
1-2 Tablespoons Slivered Raw Almonds

Combine everything in a bowl except the almonds and refrigerate til morning.  Sprinkle Almonds on and Enjoy.

  4. I eat oatmeal for breakfast most mornings with similar additions but I cook it in the microwave. Is there a health benefit to doing it this way?

btw .. thank you for sharing and showing. :)

  5. Love your posts about your healthy way of eating - gives me great ideas and inspiration to do better !
I'm going to try the overnight oats, but since I live in cold, snowy, gray Cleveland, OH, I will have to heat them up in the morning !!

  6. Thanks for sharing your eating "plan". The oats look delicious although I think I'd have to heat them. You are so disciplined. An inspiration.

  7. I’ll have to try this combo, it sounds delicious. I cook my oats in the morning and have almond milk, chopped dates, walnuts, cinnamon, chia seeds and a tablespoon of pure maple syrup, taste like date nut bread. Have you read Eat to Live by Dr Joel Furhman? I highly recommend it. I love that you’re posting recipes and pictures!

  8. it's beautiful AJJ! you make everything look like art!
I've tried this both ways... cold right out of the fridge... and also warmed in the microwave (minus the almonds. I was out of them) and it was delicious both ways! isn't it fun getting healthy? my goal is no meds and their horrid side effects. but I'll get there!
    thank you! xo

    1. Janet, just to add to the reporting about it, not wanting to stress you out, but I leave a msgg on your blog using 'name' before 'publish' and the robot is making me go thru multiple, and I mean MULTIPLE frames to prove I'm NOT a robot like, I kid you not, 20 times, requiring me to identify fire hydrants, crosswalks, bicycles, traffic lights, etc. I mean, to where my hand gets tired on the mouse trying to prove I'm human and select what they're wanting from me. This is a new thing with your blog, to have to go thru THAT many repetitions. So, if you don't see a comment from me, it's that I gave up and had to get on with my day. Again, in no way meaning to add to your stresses; just hoping that's helpful info since I know you'd said others were having difficulties as well. I'm grateful to still be able to read you anyway! Love your blog SO much always, for years. If I can't reply again, just wanted to send my very best to you and Larry as always and to wish you enjoyable holidays as we begin the season; peace, comfort, healing and love to you both.
