Pretty cottage and beautiful roses.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I think that's my favorite combination...a white picket fence with lots of roses cascading over it. And what a gorgeous home. xoTrina
ReplyDeleteWhat a well loved home and garden. I would love walking past that each day too! So serene and calm looking.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteoh la la! breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteIt's like cottage from a fairy tale. I wish I could smell them!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! What a charming cottage - love picket fences with flowers spilling over the top. She is a fabulous gardener, I can tell! I love that cottage look in a garden.

Claudia
How beautiful. You live in the most charming neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteOh My!! I was so fixated on the first picture that when I got to the second one, I was in awe! She has created a fence of roses! It's absolutely breathtaking - I can only imagine how beautiful the view out her front windows must be and the bouquets she must have in every room of her house. Her house...is an adorable cottage. I love the color and the shutters. Beautiful pictures - I guess I spoke to soon! :)
ReplyDeleteSarah
What are the yellow star-shaped flowers off to the right in the second photo? Are those huge columbine?
ReplyDeleteSo love walking past other beautiful gardens - this is spectacular! x
ReplyDeleteso beautiful!
ReplyDeletesteve - they are columbine. her husband is from colorado and she planted them for him!
ReplyDeleteDIVINE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. I have just been brave and ordered my first ever lot of roses to plant. They'll arrive in June. I went for pink ( of course!) old fashioned ones with lots of fragrance. here's hoping I do them justice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
xx
Wow. What an inspirational neighbor. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to have such a wonderful neighbor!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wondrous site! I love roses but mine have never looked like that!
Have a wonderful evening,
Donna
I would love to make that view part of my day too. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've had to come back several times to look at this garden. I love this post because it's not about money, it not about something that someone has that another doesn't. It's about something that everyone can have without needing an architect, a designer or a big budget. It might take a little work, a little luck and a good six hours of sun but it's something that everyone can enjoy.
ReplyDeleteoh so gorgeous! you are so lucky to be surrounded by these beauties! verbena cottage
ReplyDeleteSomebody paint this picture!!!!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!!8)
This is idyllic, I wonder if she has thought of making greeting cards using these images? or you for that matter?
ReplyDeleteSuch a bounty of blooms.
I'd probably set up my easel and paint it!
this garden really should be painted. in a few weeks time it is going to explode in huge underplanted hydrangeas and other summer flowers. i'll be sure to take more pics.
ReplyDeleteI am astonished & in love. With the house & the garden.....sigh......
ReplyDeletexo,
Shellagh
Ooooo what lovely roses and what an enchanting picture they make! They reminded me of this picture of a house in my 2nd std english textbook. It had rose bushes, one of white roses and the other red, on either side of the entrance steps of a cute cottage. The picture was an illustration for the fairy tale of snowwhite and rosered. The picture of the cottage with the rose bushes has never left me and I always dream of having such rose bushes in front of my dream cottage. Today, thanks to you and your dear neighbour I was able to see a pic OF A REAL COTTAGE WITH REAL ROSE BUSHES..... a pic which was so close to what I had imagined in my childhood. Thank you very much!
ReplyDeletewow!!! it`s absolutely, completely, totally beautiful!!!!! How lucky of you to have a neighbour like Ms. Katherine... please tell her that from Chile someone is admiring her wonderful roses!!!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy and blessed Mother`s day, my dear Janet.
Maria Cecilia
Hi J, I am so jealous of your neighbour's fence- she must get a lot of SUN! Meanwhile I've done a post about the Black and Spiro sale. Janet. It was the BOMB. So many lovely discounted things but the CRUSH!!! You literally could not move for glamorous women fighting for bargains. I got there an hour before it opened and was the 4th person inside but it was crazy crowded. I got 2 porcelain products (a ginger jar and bowl), a silver dove, a cushion, some fabric, and a candle lamp thing. I met Anna Spiro-she said "are you Faux Fuchsia?" (my friend works with her and told her about my blog the other day) it was so funny. Wish you could 've been there. xxxx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this picket fence rose garden. So wish I had the ability to grow roses like this. The humidity in Georgia is so hard on roses....but if there's a will, there's a way...right?
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed beautiful Janet!! How lucky that you get to see it everyday! The house and gardens have such a sweet, gentle energy about them. Love radiates!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend!

I really think it can work, so glad you had the guts to try it!

It's me again. Thank you for visiting and commenting. I had to come back both to become a follower and to tell you I have been reading your older posts and am so intrigued by the hard changes you are making in your life. Even in the midst of a few busy days I've been pondering over the rightness of your actions.
