Everlane air ruched blouse and cheeky jean Review

Hi lovelies.  Today I will review the Air Ruched Blouse by Everlane and also their High Rise Cheeky Denim.  I gotta say I love them both.  As in my last post, the Air Ruched Blouse is made of light as air cotton.  I ordered mine in black and sized down from a 4 to a 2.  I knew from the reviews that it is roomy and I didn't want a lot of extra fabric in the hot summer.  Glad I did.  I roll up the sleeves for an even breezier look/feel.  I've already worn it so much and I've only owned it for about 10 days.  That's always the best sign of a good solid purchase for me.

The Cheeky Jean is similar in that I've worn them non-stop since purchasing them last fall.  I ordered the cropped pair and they look good with my Everlane Day Boots, mules and sandals.  99% of my denim is vintage and can look a little ragged (like me!) but these are my "nice" pair.  I always feel put together in them.  They are comfy as there is a little stretch to them and the denim itself is so nice.  Read the reviews first to get your size just right before ordering!

If you choose to make a purchase, by using my code I get a $25 credit which costs you nothing!  You can use it to invite your own friends and get $25 credits too.  Plus free shipping today only!

I hope you are enjoying these posts.  I appreciate you listening to me.  It's been good for me to get out of my head (sometimes it's not the best place to be) and thinking about things that really are just fun.  Fashion has always been something I love and I know Larry wanted me to continue being happy.  So I'll do my best.  I have lots of ideas for sharing this summer.  I've been working on the house and garden and want to share with you in case you need a little inspiration.  Take care my loves.  x

  2. Let me say this, "You look marvelous!" Your outfit is perfect, head to toes. I am so happy to see the low riding cut jeans gone from fashion, hopefully for a long time. I couldn't see how a two to three inch zipper could zip up anything. Yes, continue to do things you enjoy and take time for yourself every day.

  5. I want to know about the updo too!
Getting out of our head is necessary for our well being...I suppose that’s why I love to garden as I am swiftly transported to the beauty of flowers and plants. Nature is healing. Your fashion posts are so amazing... you really know what looks good and what suits you!

  6. Hi Janet- we all want you to be happy and I am so glad this is a happy place for you. Can't wait for you garden and house posts. I find it so inspirational how you always find ways to keep everything fresh, simple, but oh so beautiful. Love your hair. I always put my hair in a bun right after a shower on hot summer days. The best part is the gorgeous waves it forms when I take it down a few hours later. It is so good to see your blog- they are literally a breath of fresh air.

  8. I love that your writing is helping you get out of your head and thinking about something fun because we're so blessed to hear and see you. I love your new composition in front of your car. I love that you are just as admirable as ever and I pray for you as you continue to move forward, baby steps, two steps forward and three steps back, however your days and nights take you. I admire your resilience and love you to death. XO .

  9. My husband and I have always spoken about the death of the other and what we hope for the surviving partner. We want the other one to grieve and mourn for a period, certainly, it's healthy, but we want the survivor to be happy and have a good remaining life - with happiness, laughter, fun and inner peace. When you love someone truly you want them to flourish. In the beginning of bereavement, I don't think resilience comes into the equation: it's that you really only have one choice - sink without trace or survive.

  18. Janet, you are looking great which I am happy to see, especially love the first photo in front of your Fiat. My first car was a Fiat! I think they make them better then they used to lol. I knew nothing about them, mine was 2 years old and a lemon...I had to sell it after a year. Tony was just saying today some day maybe he would like to get an Alfa Romeo.

Glad to see you posting again and that you are in a better place right now. I think that is what we would all want for our spouse.

Yes, I need some inspiration so I look forward to more posts!

  22. well if you aren't the sassiest gal in that great classic look and cute car . . . best of all you share your secrets with the rest of us . . .thank you Janet
Much on my mind is our approaching vacation in lovely Maine - with children and grands and dog - setting out "easy" clothes, light sweaters and hoodies for mornings and evenings. Still it's difficult to imagine chilly temps while we are broiling here.
