who what wear target collection

Who What Wear is the only fashion site I bother with.  Founded by Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power in 2006, these 2 ladies have turned what started out as a blog into a multi-million dollar enterprise. I love the site because it's easy to read and has equal amounts of high-end fashion and fashion more suited for the average working woman.  I couldn't wait to see this collection that they collaborated on with Target.  There really is something for everyone.  Sizes range from 2-24 and nothing is overpriced.  I bought 5 pieces that fit my lifestyle and this what I came up with.

I fell in love with this pencil skirt because it has such a vintage feel to it.  The blue, black, white and mustard colorway is gorgeous and goes with just about everything.

I love it with my chambray.  If I decide to keep it, I'll have to have it hemmed because it's just too long to walk comfortably in.

This is what they call the Birdcage skirt.  So cute and super comfy.  Cute with boots and sweater in the winter and it will be perfect in the summer with a tank top, sandals and straw bag.

I love the linen tee shirts.  I adore the neckline and the sleeve length is absolutely perfect.  They also have a few scarves in the collection.  Although this one is polyester it's still super soft - not stiff at all.

There is so much more to the collection than what is shown here.  If I had more space and money I would have bought more.:)  Have you bought anything yet???  You can see the entire collection right HERE.

  3. Great Skirt...the birdcage one is so soft...would love it with white tee and a soft vintage denim jacket...flip flops and a straw hat. You could host a tea party in it, wear it to a wedding or to run errands...versatile. Love the price point too.
Linen tees are bliss for the heat of summer....you might end up keeping all of them!
I bought a few new things lately...a cross body bag because of a shoulder injury, a couple of bright tops and one new top by Eileen Fisher.
Have a new knitting project which is going to keep me busy for awhile...will show it on my next blog post.

    1. i'm always trying to pare down too t. i have a new work assignment that calls for more than yoga pants and a tee so i've been on the lookout for cute affordable pieces. i'm not sure what i'll keep beyond the tees and scarf. x

  5. I've never heard of this 'brand' and am glad for the tip. I went for the link you provided and they have some really cute stuff (classic pieces you could have for a long time if the fabric holds up...but I read the descriptions and the fabrics sound pretty good for the price). There have been so many fun pairings at Target over the years. I liked the Jason Wu and some of the Zac Posen but it was a little too 'young' for me.

    2. Janet, I really got into this thanks to you. I studied the collection (online) as I'd mentioned and then saw the clothes up close & personal in the store because I happened to be in a nearby city where they have a Target. The clothes are well-made. I can't find a use for it, but that black cape jacket is lovely. Even the long khaki vest, if I recall, is lined. The problem, for me, with the whitish polka dot skirt is that it's canvas-y; mid-weight material which might feel warmish in summer but certainly is a great choice for an early spring. Then, comPLETELY by happenstance, I was yet again in ANOTHER city over the past few days with a second Target, and discovered the fluttery-hem shift with those gorgeous blue/mustard colors so I did buy that and the matching scarf...but in TWO Targets, only one of those scarves remained and, in the #2 Target, only one of those black faux leather jackets. I talked to one of the salespeople and she said the Who What Wear was flying off the racks and it had JUST come out; she said women were crazy for your blue/yellow pencil skirt. I don't seem to wear long-sleeved blouses these days but I also thought the blue and also the cream pussy-bow blouses were luxe; loved the cuffs on the one style of blouse that were sort of flared. Thanks for turning me on to Who What Wear!

(Glad life is good! Congrats on your new work assignment [details sometime!]; geez, you could wear anything and look tremendous; you wear VEGAN well!)

  7. I do love Target and definitely spend too much of my time and money there. I was there earlier this week and didn't see any of this brand but did pick up a couple of lighter-weight 3/4 sleeve cardigans they recently got in (nice transition to spring pieces). I will keep my eye out for this line because I want to check out the linen tees in particular.

  15. I think you look SO GOOD in the pencil skirt, very elegant and I like the longer length, although I appreciate that it might be a little restrictive for walking.
I'm going to try to buy nothing whatsoever this year as I've got wardrobes brimming with clothes that I'm not ready to part with. It will have to be something very special to tempt me!

  16. Hey Janet,

You look great in all those outfits and so young.

The other week I asked you about your son(Alex)being in the movies and if he wasn't he has a twin. His twin's name is Ryan Gosling. To me, he looks almost exactly like him and your son could stand in for him. Or is Ryan Gosling your son??!!!

    Sincerely,
    Debra from SENC

    1. haha debra. when you originally asked i almost told you ryan gosling but wanted to see what you came up with. you are not the first person to say that. we've been in los angeles on several occasions and people truly thought he was ryan gosling. i remember one time 2 girls working in a clothing store would not believe otherwise until he showed them his id. lol

  17. Janet! I just read the article in Country Living! It is fabulous! My favorite thing is that it really looks how we see it through your blog. Your house simply could not look lovlier. Job well done. Being published is now my favorite item of evidence to dispute your claim of being mediocre. You and your talents are anything but. Have a fab weekend!

  18. My Country Living arrived today and I was delighted to see your home in it. Beautiful article about a beautiful home! Congratulations! I have enjoyed following your blog for a long time. I don't believe I have ever left a comment but just had to after seeing such a nice feature on your home. The new exterior color looked fabulous, as did the rest of the house.
