Beautiful photos! What a gorgeous train station. It will be awesome when you can take the train to LA for the day. Have a great weekend! ~sarah
ReplyDeleteDear Janet,
ReplyDeleteAll such beautiful images. My parents brought my brother and I to the Redlands train station once. It was our first train ride (we took it back to Los Angeles).

Hello Janet:
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly elegant 'still life' in your bathroom. The Hydrangea heads are so lovely with their myriad colours of dusky tones and tints. And all served with style on silver. Lovely!
Jó hétvégét!!
The photo of your blooming hydrangeas is stunning.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteYou have a badass weekend yourself!

Dear Janet,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful town you live in! To have such a stylish train station :-)!
Wish you a happy weekend! Hopefully we will have some beautiful autumn weather.
Lieve groet,
Madelief x
Fall is looking great at your house.
ReplyDeleteCool train station. I would love to live there. What a great back porch that would be.
ReplyDeleteNice toilet vignette too.
From one badass to another, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had one ounce of your skills with a camera. Great pix!

Thank YOU . . .
Pretty photos. That train station is wonderful, I'm glad it will be used again.
ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour of your neighborhood and the town beyond. I love that image of the train station with the columns on the right and the windows and doors on the left-- very nice! I appreciate your finesse, which shines through with each post.
To color or not to color (my hair, that is) remains a question I ask myself almost daily. My partner colors his hair and tells me I will feel better if I color mine also. I frankly don't want to mess with the upkeep. I started going grey in my early 20's, although at a slow pace. I kind of enjoy watching them sprout like seedlings of age and wisdom.
Thanks for the comments in general, but especially the other day. They help me feel heard and understood.
Happy weekend! Enjoy the lovely fall days.
Anne
Love the silver tray with the hydrangeas in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Lovely hydrangeas on your silver tray and those puffy cotton balls in the silver rose bowl might be an idea that I steal from you...
ReplyDeleteenjoy your weekend Janet!
Oooo...that little picture of the dried hydrangeas, the silver bowl of cotton balls, and that gorgeous little lamp...all served up on a silver platter! I can think of no better word than-- you are just Delightful. Delightful!
ReplyDeleteHave a big--very big.--badass weekend too. (Not so sure what a badass weekend entails, but I'm going to try.) :-)

Beaut pics Janet. The train station deserves to be resurrected!
ReplyDeleteAnnie xx
Janet, the first two photos are so gorgeous. The one of the hydrangeas, especially, looks like it belongs framed on a wall :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a badass weekend, too, with tons of fun!

Great pics Janet....lovely neighborhood! Nicole
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I'm from Canada so it's so interesting to see what Fall looks like somewhere else. As always, great pics!
ReplyDeletebeautiful my dear!!! ... but I have to go to translate "badass", jajaja!!!
ReplyDeletehope everything is fine in your life!!!!
lots of hugs to you
Gorgeous and inspiring photographs of the season, thankyou!
ReplyDeleteMost of all, I'm delighted that this elegant station is going to be used for its original purpose again and moreover, I welcome the fact that it sounds as if there is a renaissance in interest for trains over there - here in Europe we rely heavily on them and one of the main attractions of where I live, midst small town greenery, I am 3 minutes from the station that takes me (punctually!) to international cities, mountain ski slopes and kitsch tourist highlights around the country within 1-3 hours!! = choice!!
Oh how lovely, was the carriage house where the carriages were kept?
ReplyDeleteHave I just asked the most stupid question ever?
Lovely pics and lovely city !!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend :)

Oh! I love the vignette in your bathroom! It's inspiring me to think more creatively and beautifully about my own. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteI adore your little vignette in your bathroom....I saw a tray similar to that recently and let it go...Seeing this today is making me regret that decision. The first photo with the golden leaves changing looks very east coast. How wonderful that you'll soon be able to take the train into Los Angeles. I love trains, train stations and even the sound of the train in the distance...I remember my kids would hear the train and know that Dad would be home in a few minutes. Their little internal clocks always knew which train was his. Your hydrangeas are so beautiful! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Oh what a beautiful train station! Do they hold Farmer's Markets there or anything like that?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful venue for a party!
Your bathroom arrangement speaks to me, in dulcet tones of course.
ReplyDeleteLovely fall images. I adore that silver tray with hydrangeas in your bathroom. Your things are always so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the bathroom arrangement - so simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteJanet, Love the train station. I love to hear the wistles of trains. Hope you are enjoying your autumn weather. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom arrangement is very pretty. I visited Redlands once, in 2000, and thought it was a lovely town. It sounds perfect having a one hour train ride to Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I am sharing your hacking jacket with my readers today....thank-you.

Love your photos, especially the pumpkins. The colors are stunning. My mother sent me your blog and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI am inspired to get out my Paul Revere bowls, polish and adorn. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI love fall. I have always thought that it is the prettiest time of the year. The colors are just gorgeous.
