    All such beautiful images. My parents brought my brother and I to the Redlands train station once. It was our first train ride (we took it back to Los Angeles).

    What an incredibly elegant 'still life' in your bathroom. The Hydrangea heads are so lovely with their myriad colours of dusky tones and tints. And all served with style on silver. Lovely!

    Thanks for the tour of your neighborhood and the town beyond. I love that image of the train station with the columns on the right and the windows and doors on the left-- very nice! I appreciate your finesse, which shines through with each post.

    To color or not to color (my hair, that is) remains a question I ask myself almost daily. My partner colors his hair and tells me I will feel better if I color mine also. I frankly don't want to mess with the upkeep. I started going grey in my early 20's, although at a slow pace. I kind of enjoy watching them sprout like seedlings of age and wisdom.

    Thanks for the comments in general, but especially the other day. They help me feel heard and understood.

    Oooo...that little picture of the dried hydrangeas, the silver bowl of cotton balls, and that gorgeous little lamp...all served up on a silver platter! I can think of no better word than-- you are just Delightful. Delightful!

    Most of all, I'm delighted that this elegant station is going to be used for its original purpose again and moreover, I welcome the fact that it sounds as if there is a renaissance in interest for trains over there - here in Europe we rely heavily on them and one of the main attractions of where I live, midst small town greenery, I am 3 minutes from the station that takes me (punctually!) to international cities, mountain ski slopes and kitsch tourist highlights around the country within 1-3 hours!! = choice!!

    I adore your little vignette in your bathroom....I saw a tray similar to that recently and let it go...Seeing this today is making me regret that decision. The first photo with the golden leaves changing looks very east coast. How wonderful that you'll soon be able to take the train into Los Angeles. I love trains, train stations and even the sound of the train in the distance...I remember my kids would hear the train and know that Dad would be home in a few minutes. Their little internal clocks always knew which train was his. Your hydrangeas are so beautiful! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

    The bathroom arrangement is very pretty. I visited Redlands once, in 2000, and thought it was a lovely town. It sounds perfect having a one hour train ride to Los Angeles.
