You are my 1st check when I set down to catch up on blogs. Don't stay away too long please! You remember Mette (Metscan) she was another favorite and both of you are/were such inspirations to me! Healthy eating/vegetarianism and minimalizim with so much elegance-Oh I don't want to forget Fiona of How to be Chic. You 3 are guiding lights. So like I said: Don't stay gone too long!
ReplyDeleteBrenhna
Brenhna - you do know that Fiona of How to be Chic is back blogging don't you?
DeleteCindy F
minimalism--oops! Sorry.
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed. Enjoy your time off. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no Janet, now When I came back from my break i was hoping to read your posts, now you are going to take a break? But seriously, as much as i will miss you, you know what you need and sometimes a break is great. it is hard to think when you hear too many voices around. and sometimes too much screan time takes focus away from the rest of your life. we will wait for you, take care of yourself
ReplyDeletexoxo
A good reminder for me, too to be mindful of my time in front of the screen. Take care, and don't worry. We'll find you again when you decide to return.
ReplyDeleteWill miss your posts!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteSee you when you are well rested.
ReplyDeleteMay your days away be filled with grace and beauty in all that inspires you.
Xx
See you when yo return or before
Dore

ReplyDeleteWell wishes!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad...but understand.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
Well hell, just back from mine and now you're leaving? We need to coordinate these vacations.
ReplyDeleteXo J
I totally understand....so many of the blogs that I followed have disappeared....I think taking a break from work, a major project is a great way to reignite your passion and recharge your batteries. Will miss your voice.
ReplyDeleteTake care

Uh-oh! You readers got her too confused about the bar cart!
ReplyDeleteDo you think so?
DeleteHer post title should have been an indication of her stand on buying the cart...I know I would have bought it if I had been looking for a long time for something and would have sold something else or scrimped and saved for a bit.
I am a Pisces though and I have those same two fish swimming inside my head...
Save Spend Save Spend....you get my drift.
Enjoy your time away. Be well too.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me I understand...I too need to step away from the computer. It's a time sucker for sure.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break Janet!

Hi Janet, I look forward to your blog and words of wisdom. I'm going to miss you while your away, geez. Enjoy your free time.;-)
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog as I was searching for Cottage Garden. What a lovely site! Please come back soon. Besides gardening, I also love clothes (especially classic/retro) and enjoy estate sales, finding weird, old, neat junk. So nice to see there are others like me!
ReplyDeleteI completely understand, I ought to cut back on my internet time too, but I will really miss you while you are away.
ReplyDeleteDarby
Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteSmart lady. I've been down with a cold and doing to much internet too! Enjoy and refresh:)

The weather is so beautiful here in Southern California this week. It's a perfect time to take a break and be outside in the garden.
ReplyDeleteCan't blame you for taking a break. Sometimes I will sit down at the computer for only 10 minutes and it ends up being a whole lot longer than that. Occasionally, I allow it to mess up my itinerary for the day - so many interesting reads up there - it kinda sucks you in all the while knowing that work needs to be done. I will miss you. I love your blog.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Debra from SENC
Janet, it was so nice of you to tell us. Take it easy and enjoy the roses! See you whenever you pop back around.💛💫
ReplyDeleteI hope your internet break is giving you time to smell your lovely roses.
ReplyDeleteI like reading your blog. It has all the things I am interested in. Being chic over a certain age, vegan eating, traveling, elegant but simple living, decorating and estate sale shopping. Hope you come back soon!
ReplyDeleteBeen trying to do the same!
ReplyDeletepeace,

Hi Janet - I hope you are enjoying your break. I've been productive in your absence, reading all the old blog posts. Your message about having less, but making sure that what you keep is both beautiful and useful, is really resonating with me this Lent. Thank you, and I'll be looking forward to your next post, whenever that may be. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI think she'll be back after Lent.

Miss you, but I get it. The web can rule us. Do what you need to do, for you. If you never posted again, you've gifted us with a lot of good stuff. Best to you always.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a break from facebook and twitter. It's lovely. Enjoy your break & don't feel pressured to come back until you feel ready & refreshed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful nest...And love the new color! xo
