i totally *get* spring fever now

since i have spent a great deal of the winter in utah i now understand spring fever.
in southern california it just doesn't happen to me.

here, buried up to my neck in snow i find myself looking forward to spring and all its possibilities.
each evening i'm finding myself looking online at all kinds of pretty spring things.

like i'd love these sandals from payless shoes with this pair of high-waisted skinny jeans from american apparel and a crisp white shirt tied at the waist.

i'm usually not one for wearing earrings either but these,  also from payless shoes, are super lightweight and this comfortable drop in type is really the only kind of earring i can wear.

ok so thanks for indulging my spring fever today.
i need to get back to sunny california soon.

  2. I always get spring fever. This time of year it's like I come back to life and I'm motivate to do so much more. would love to live in CA and have that feeling year round. Last weekend I said to matt, "I'm so glad the gray of winter is behind me" and he just winced, because that's not so true in London- yikes!

Spring daffodils are up and the cherry blossom trees are magnificent, now all we need is a few days of sunshine.

What has kept you in Idaho so much this winter Janet?
    Skiing?

I can see you in that outfit Janet ;-))

  10. Hi Janet! I visit often but dont comment ever :) I have to share, my friend Catie told me about your enchilada recipe...so last night I made them for dinner...AMAZING!! I have 3 meat eating teenage boys, and they all LOVED them as well as my hubby and 8 year old daughter! I also made your Mushroom Risotto, but switched out the brown rice for barley, and it tasted JUST like a restaurant version I had recently...DELICIOUS!! Ok..AND I ran to Payless and picked up the flats you have mentioned in the nude color...my oh my the most comfy flats I have worn in a long time...going back for the black and ivory ones as well!! Thanks for sharing so many fabulous things here...I will comment more often :) xo

  12. Really cute shoes and earrings Janet! Payless for earrings? Who knew.

My days of dangling earrings (especially heavier ones) have been gone for some time now. When my daughter was a year old she grabbed a hold of my earring and ripped my earring hole...even though I had it repaired it's never been the same. Maybe I could find a pair of lightweight ones like the ones pictured here. :)

  14. I am with you except for the high waisted jeans. I adore low ( well medium low) rise jeans....they are so much more comfortable...well to me any way....love Gap 1969 jeans. I never knew Payless had cute shoes! I am gokng to check Payless out...there is one about 15 minutes away from me. Are you finding them comfortable? Utah winters are not my favorite either...well except for skiing...good skiing in Utah.

  17. Crickey, Janet, you've got sunny California to get back to - think how I feel! /:-(

  18. Yeah, if there's any place that will make you get spring fever, it's here in Utah (and this winter has been especially bad). I mean, I've lived here for most of my life, and I STILL get spring fever something awful. Luckily it warmed up this last week though, eh?
