calm

Staying calm is my number one priority as of late.  Maybe for you too?  Relax and be assured that this is a calm space.  No ads of any sort, I hope just a dose of loveliness to calm frazzled nerves.  I baked bread this morning and worked in the garden.  I'm going to be focusing on activities whose main purpose delivers peace and tranquility.  I'm not on IG at the moment because it's too much for me these days.  Wherever your political preference lies it'll always be ok to pop over here.  In fact, I will not publish any comments with any bias whatsoever.  So lets celebrate all we have and all we don't have.  xo

  1. Agree, especially the celebrating. I’m deliciously celebrating what I have and decided what I don’t have, I don’t need and really don’t want anymore. Linda T

  4. Lovely post and delicious looking bread!
I thought of you when they closed the 99 cent stores. I got so many great deals from that store and loved it when you posted your finds.

  12. So glad to see your lovely picture and calming words. I have been reading your archived posts, you have so much great content. Would you consider bringing back some of your older posts? I would be interested in your eating and cooking ideas, minimal Christmas decorating (great posts!), and one of my favorites "Will you wear this when you are 70?". Thank you for posting today.

  14. Janet, I found your blog very early on when I was going through a midlife reassessment. You have been such an inspiration to me ever since in creating this lovely (but not perfect) life I now lead. It is always good to hear from you. I hope you are well.

  19. Calm is what I need at the moment. After a lovely long weekend with my daughter in Budapest I came home with a chest infection (thank you coughing man on the shuttle bus) I have had 2 water leaks in my loft, a collapsed ceiling in the back bedroom and now I need a new central heating boiler! Stress levels are high and no-one to bounce off. It helps to write it all down. It's times like this when widowhood really hits you where it hurts. It will get better and I will return to the fought for contentment. And breathe.

    1. You just described this whole year for me! Whatever could go wrong went wrong with this house. Major stuff, lots of money and hard work and doing it alone and as you say no one to bounce it off of is so hard - but i made it. And I know you will too. xo
