a corner of christmas

my charming neighbor dropped this beautiful poinsettia off today and i thought, holy cow, it's getting close to christmas.

actually i still have 9 days left.

seriously, i've been enjoying myself by being a bystander and reading all the posts on
my
 beautiful bloggers list.

it's been nice watching you all decorate and bake and go a little nuts.
you guys are good.

i could get used to this though.
it's way easier reading blogs than writing one.

i'm so excited to see just what is in store for me this weekend.

aren't you?

What a beautiful vignette with the red pointsettia and blue china, on your lovely white table.
I have a new pointsettia for Christmas too, so for once the northern and southern hemispheres must be in sync!!

Very stylish, and very pretty. I'm off on a shopping frenzy. Sometimes, I wish Christmas was less commercial, it would definitely be more relaxing! Have a lovely weekend Janet.

Every shot of your home makes me breathe a sigh of relief! So peaceful, calm and quietly elegant Janet!

I love the Christmas corner--or the Ralph Lauren Altar as I like to think of it. I'm feeling that a light touch is just right this Christmas.

BTW I adored your sequin dress with denim shirt!!!

I'm with you. I love seeing everyone else decorating but have done nothing myself. It is much easier reading than writing for sure!

Janet, Once I did a little decorating, it helped me get into the spirit of Christmas better. I like playing Christmas music also. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Susie( She Junks)

Your corner of Christmas is beautiful...all calm and bright. You've inspired me to put my Chanticleer Christmas album on the stereo and hang up my wreath. Happy holidays!

Well yes, we do often go a little mad at Christmas - but your home looks the epitomy of sanity! Lovely..I'm making 'Keeping Christmas Simple' resolutions - there is some inspiration here.

Janet,
I think that Ralph would be delighted to know that he is holding court at the gardener's cottage.
I just want to know if the red shoes made it home?

This little corner of your home is always styled to perfection Janet, but oh boy do I love the plaid, blue and white, and rough luxe leather of those suitcases underneath! DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!

I just posted about my little Christmas decoration this year, would love for you to stop by if you have a chance!
