  2. Are those roses really from your garden? Are they fragrant? What's their name? They look great with your pillow!

  24. Your home is gorgeous - I love that reddish pillow and the roses. I hate you because your house is so fine and you are so cool. Why can't I be you? And we have 2 ft of snow in the fucking yard still. What fate is this?

P.S. I bought a blue and white gingham picnic shirt in honor of you. I shall post photos later.

    With love, T. xo

  25. Janet, the roses are lovely. So are the pillows - they make such a statement against the simple, clean, white back drop.

I'm in Northern California, near Sacramento, roses aren't quite in bloom yet.

  26. I love your living room, it looks so peaceful. I have a thing for white couches. They, sadly, are not condusive to kids, cats and a dog.

My mom lives in So. Cal and she says her roses are going nuts with all the rain. Yours look lovely. I think the only thing I miss about California other than my family, is the flora.

  30. Like a woman, roses are at their most beautiful when full and matured.

  31. I'm jealous...my roses are just starting to bloom, but I was a little late pruning them. They will look great until about June until the overcast days and fog set in which results in rust and other lovely diseases! Do you have any problems like that? If so, do you have a natural solution? I hate chemicals!

    Great job on the pillow!

  32. terri - they are dried moss topiaries that i got at pb about 4 years ago. i've never seen them in a catalog or store since. i walked in a store one day and there they were. i really love them even though they are not living topiaries.

anon - if you click on the label beauty i believe that is my take on skincare there.

linda - i have been lucky re diseases. i get aphids but just wash them off with soapy water.
